For optimum performance, shouldered wear rings give the best results by allowing for tighter clearances. Installation may require shimming and/or machining of companion components. Installing a shouldered only be attempted by an experienced technician and with the jet pump disassembled and removed from the boat. Standard size wear ring for use with a new impeller.
